Overview Of

New Product Licensing Cooperative

Innovation Institute

New Product Licensing Cooperative:

Each Associate on the team has something unique to contribute towards getting the new product licensed.  The goal is to put out as many good new products as possible.

Team Members:

  • Team members are the Associates who helped develop, and promote the new product.

  • The Associate’s team role hopefully revolves around their interests, skills, and schedule.  The wider the scope of work an Associate addresses with their invention, the better.

  • Licensing work can include: market research, writing promotional material, emailing and calling potential licensees, then emailing and answering questions on the press releases sent to the media. One person can handle the entire promotion project, or have other Associates fill in the gap for where they seek assistance.

Financial Benefit To Associates:

  • Associates who helped develop or license the new products own a share for each  one they worked on.  They earn a share of the royalties.  Just one new product success can be very lucrative.

  • The lucrative //trends (link to trends page)// for property rights are improving.

  • Ownership for the share of patent rights is transferable by sale or inheritance.  Many countries including the U.S. can have low federal capital gains tax on royalties. It is 15% in the U.S. at the time of this writing.

  • See Advantages Working with Us.

Associates Work From Anywhere:

  • Work from home, or anywhere in the world.  Keep connected via wire.

  • Our Virtual Receptionist can answer their calls. Then direct callers to the Associate’s home, cell work phone, or to another Associate if needed.

San Francisco Bay Area:

  • Most work is done from the Inner San Francisco Bay Area.

  • Additionally the 75-suite business incubator was bought in Fairfield for many reasons including its proximity to the Inner San Francisco Bay Area.  Living and labor costs are lower.

  • About Fairfield: It’s quality of life supersedes downtown San Francisco which is great just for visits.  Fairfield is clearly more serene, less congested, and considerably more affordable.  Restaurants on the waterfront, sailing, hiking, vineyards, cinema, theatre, shopping, and the county capital are all within five minutes drive.  We are by highway 80, and 35-40 minutes drive from downtown.  Fairfield is one of our locations, the others being confidential.

Confidentiality:

  • As typical with high tech organizations, stringent confidentiality provisions are essential in certain circumstances.  Associates should only provide information to those who need it to develop or promote the new product.  New products can only be mentioned to the larger public when the engineering and market research before have been conducted.

  • The confidentiality form should be signed before prospective Associates view our inventions.

Coop’s Team Creativity:

Associates given access to our inventions are encouraged to make suggestions.  These can include: trademarks, and additional uses for the invention.
